With a view to finding endogenous solutions to security problems, the Malian Alliance to Rebuild Governance in Africa (ARGA-Mali), in partnership with the National Democratic Institute (NDI) and the Centre for Strategic Studies (Centre d’Études Stratégiques - CES), is implementing an initiative called "Multi-Actor Commitment for Inclusive Governance of the Security Sector in Mali" (EMAGIS). The EMAGIS project is an attempt to respond to the deep and widespread security crisis in Mali.
For the implementation of the action plan, a meeting was held on the 13 November 2019 at the National Assembly with parliamentarians from the National Defence, Security and Civil Protection Commission. The purpose of this visit was to enable parliamentarians to renew their knowledge in terms of information and security initiatives relating to citizens’ concerns and also to enable parliamentarians to draw on the work of the CES when drafting and drafting legislation and regulations in the security sector.
